Movie as your Desktop

This is a popular VLC trick which enables you to run a Movie as your Desktop.

Note:This one is not my discovery but got it from other sources.


For this trick you will have to download VLC Media Player.

Now you just need to follow the steps below:-

1) Go to Settings >> preferences (click on the Pictures to enlarge them)



2)In Preference >> Interface >> Main Interface


3)In Main Interface >> Click on wxWidgets >>Remove the tick on 'Taskbar' and put a tick on 'System tray icon'.


4) Go to Video >> Output Modules


5) In Output Modules >> DirectX . Now look at the right-bottom corner to find Advanced Option.Check this option to get some more options and then 'Enable wallpaper Mode'.



6) Last Click on Playlist and check 'Repeat Current Item'.




7) Save and Restart VLC.

8)Run a Movie you want as wallpaper(right-click Movie and select wallpaper).Quit VLC to get your Original wallpaper.
